Position Overview: The Real Estate Relationship Manager for International Business Development is responsible for expanding and nurturing relationships with global and national investors and developers in the brownfield development sector. The role entails engaging with senior sector players and overseeing strategic development projects and transformational schemes in the West Midlands region. The Real Estate Relationship Manager will be responsible for stakeholder management, event management, and delivering key performance indicators (KPIs).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with global and national investors and developers involved in brownfield development projects. Identify potential investment opportunities and foster partnerships to drive economic growth in the West Midlands.
2. Engagement with Senior Sector Players: Interact with senior executives and decision-makers in the real estate industry. Collaborate on strategic development projects and transformational schemes that contribute to the region's growth and development.
3. Project Oversight: Provide oversight and guidance on key development projects and initiatives. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, project timelines, and quality standards. Coordinate with various stakeholders, including local authorities, contractors, and consultants.
4. Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and industry associations. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to ensure successful project outcomes and address any concerns or issues that arise.
5. Event Management: Organize and manage events, conferences, and industry gatherings to promote the West Midlands as an attractive investment destination. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure successful event execution and maximum participation.
6. KPI Delivery: Develop and monitor key performance indicators aligned with business goals. Regularly assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and take necessary actions to achieve targets. Prepare reports and presentations to update management on the status of projects and performance against KPIs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in real estate business development, preferably with a focus on brownfield development projects.
- Strong understanding of the global and national real estate investment landscape.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage with senior executives and industry leaders.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in stakeholder management and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to travel as required for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
